This has got to be one of my all time favorite songs. It seems that it is stuck on repeat in my brain all the time. As simple a tune as it is, it is very difficult to learn. I have been studying your finger picking to do my best at getting it right. (I had to copy this video so I have your picking style right in front of me as I am not always in internet area) It is a long and slow process for me. but hopefully it will come in time. As I listen to each and every song you post, you have no idea how thrilled I was when you posted this one. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world. Guaranteed that you have put a smile on my face on the days that you post. Thank you Hanna.
Thank you so much for the kind words! I agree, this song is great and will probably become one of those ukulele classics like "Tonight you Belong to me". The plucking pattern takes a minute to get used to, but once you get in a rhythm, I think you'll find it flows nicely. Because the structure of the picking stays the same no matter the chord, it's just a matter of relaxing and letting your fingers guide you :) Try playing it without singing until you feel comfortable, that was my biggest hang up with this tune.
